When Ben&Ben posted the image you see above, I already expected a song that would break my heart into pieces. To be precise, that is what they have always been great at and made themselves known to the public anyway. Not that anyone cares, but I have started loving this band because of their song called Kathang Isip; It was a rainy day five years ago and I was on my way home to the province. Despite hearing it for the first time, Kathang Isip made me sob so hard I could barely breathe on the bus. Until now, I still hope that no one saw me ugly crying that day.
Every line in Ben&Ben’s newly released song called The Ones We Once Loved has hit me so hard. It felt like it was talking to all the sad emotions bottled up inside my heart. It helped me release the pain and grief I had long kept; It sent emotions that triggered the tears I had withheld for the longest time. Despite that, little did I know that this song would heal my heart, too.
